Leadership Within LBQ Communities

Many LBQ women and non-binary individuals lead in ways that prioritise collaboration, empathy, and collective growth. Leadership can appear in everyday moments: organising community gatherings, supporting friends, mentoring younger individuals, or advocating for inclusive spaces.

Despite these contributions, leadership from LBQ communities is not always recognised or supported. Opportunities for leadership development can be limited, particularly when individuals face barriers related to gender identity, sexuality, race, or migration status.

Leadership within marginalised communities often looks different from traditional models of leadership.

Creating pathways for leadership is therefore essential.

Leadership development programs can provide individuals with the confidence, skills, and networks needed to bring their ideas to life. These opportunities help ensure that communities are represented not only in conversations but also in decision-making spaces.

We aim to support individuals who want to contribute to positive change within their communities. By investing in emerging leaders, we help strengthen the long-term resilience and visibility of LBQ communities.
